The course starts with an introduction to design methodology, meaning an overview of methods for analysis and structuring in the design process. Various methods of planning and problem analysis will be taught so as to enable the student to commence with the design process.
The theoretical and methodological aspects will be applied to and accompanied by practical exercises using new design methods and creative techniques so as to develop a design solution to the initial problem. Previously acquired skills such as sketching, computer aided drawing/illustration and model making will be included alongside marketing related aspects (user polls, target group definitions, mood-boarding, etc.)
