Elements for a Designer IDE180

The course starts with a lecture in design history covering the break through of the Industrialism until contempory design. Techniques in free hand sketching are introduced and practised. Illustrator is taugth from the perspective of the use of an industrial designer. A workshop concentrate on the training in free form. Training in traditional workshop machines like lathe, milling and boring machines and bandsaw is provided with proper tool and security instructions. This workshop training expands into special techniques for modelbuilding. Graphic design is introduced in the domain of product graphics.
